On December 29, the State Food and Drug Administration held a meeting on the quality and safety supervision of traditional Chinese medicine, comprehensively summarized the quality and safety supervision of traditional Chinese medicine in 2021, deeply analyzed the current supervision situation and problems, studied and deployed the key work in 2022, and continued to strengthen the quality and safety supervision of traditional Chinese medicine. The meeting pointed out that in 2021, the State Food and Drug Administration will thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on promoting the inheritance, innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine, strictly implement the "four strictest" requirements, strengthen the quality and safety supervision of traditional Chinese medicine for epidemic prevention and control, and effectively ensure the quality and supply. We will continue to improve the system of regulations and systems for the supervision of traditional Chinese medicine, study and issue the policy of purchasing fresh cut traditional Chinese medicine by traditional Chinese medicine slice production enterprises, guide the standardized development of traditional Chinese medicine, and accelerate the revision of the production quality management specification for traditional Chinese medicine (gap). We will promote the special rectification of decoction pieces of traditional Chinese medicine and the special inspection of traditional Chinese medicine production to achieve practical results, organize and carry out targeted flight inspection, and strengthen sampling inspection and adverse reaction monitoring. The drug regulatory authorities strictly implement the territorial regulatory responsibilities, strictly investigate and deal with violations of laws and regulations in the production of traditional Chinese medicine, urge enterprises to earnestly implement the main responsibility, promote the successful completion of various objectives and tasks of quality and safety supervision of traditional Chinese medicine, and promote the continuous and stable improvement of the overall quality of traditional Chinese medicine.

Third, we should earnestly do a good job in the supervision of traditional Chinese medicine formula particles, strictly enforce the access of products and enterprises, adhere to the scientificity of traditional Chinese medicine formula particles, strictly control the complete production capacity, do not relax the requirements in disguise by sharing workshops within the group, carry out full coverage inspection and sampling inspection of all varieties, and urge enterprises to effectively ensure product quality and safety. Fourth, we should focus on strengthening the quality supervision of traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces and proprietary Chinese medicine, continue to organize special inspection and causal inspection, strengthen sampling inspection and adverse reaction monitoring, strengthen the supervision of all links such as production, circulation and use, strengthen the organic connection of inspection and inspection, and severely crack down on violations of laws and regulations.
